Badalà Brewery: artisanal excellence in Montemurlo
Located at Via Riva 58 in Montemurlo, Badalà Brewery is a craft brewery that since 2014 has been dedicated to producing high-quality beers, the result of the passion and expertise of Elena Mornati and Alberto Nannini. The brewery’s story is rooted in a deep love for beer that began in 2002, when Alberto first experimented with homebrewing using a kit he purchased on his own. From that moment, the passion turned into a true profession, aiming to create unique and distinctive products.
A combination of tradition, innovation, and local territory
Badalà Brewery stands out for its ability to combine traditional beer styles with innovative experimentation, often enhanced by the use of zero-kilometer local ingredients. A prime example is the Ge.a beer, a pale ale made with barley grown in the Monghidoro area, in direct collaboration with the Marco Lelli farm. This choice demonstrates the brewery’s attention not only to the quality of raw materials but also to sustainable practices and support for the local area, thus fitting into the growing green production movement.
Visitors to the brewery have the opportunity to discover the various creations directly in the Tap Room, a tasting room that welcomes enthusiasts and curious visitors every Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight. In an informal and welcoming environment, it is possible to savor the entire beer range, take part in personalized tastings, or organize special events such as private parties. This experiential dimension makes the visit a true immersion into the brewery’s world, enriching the customer’s experience.
Badalà Brewery is also known for its prestigious national and international awards. The Storter beer, for example, won the silver medal at the 2025 Barcelona Beer Challenge in the American Porter & Stout category, confirming the quality and originality of its productions.
Another innovative and sustainable choice is the switch from the classic glass bottle to cans for most of its beers. This decision improves preservation by protecting the contents from light and reducing oxidation, but it also represents a significant gesture toward the environment. Indeed, cans allow greater efficiency in transport and facilitate recycling, strengthening the brewery’s green commitment.
Badalà Brewery is proof of how passion, combined with deep knowledge and respect for the territory, can give life to products that are not only genuine and tasty but capable of telling an authentic Italian story.
