Zapap Craft Brewery: Passion and Territory in the Heart of Emilia
Located in Castello di Serravalle, in the picturesque hilly area between Bologna and Modena, Zapap Craft Brewery is a point of reference for lovers of quality craft beers. Founded in 2012 from the passion of Christian Govoni, a former publican and homebrewer, Zapap was able to transform its initial concept of a beer firm into a full-fledged production facility starting from November 2013. Today, it represents an example of excellence in the Italian brewing landscape, with a deep focus on territorial identity and craftsmanship.
Production and Philosophy
Zapap’s facility, located at Via dell’Industria 30, Località Castelletto, is equipped with a 6-hectoliter brewhouse and has an annual production capacity of about 450 hectoliters. The bottling line reaches a speed of 1,000 bottles per hour, ensuring efficiency without compromising product quality.
The real strength of the brewery lies in the philosophy that drives every stage of production. Zapap stands out for its choice of values deeply rooted in the territory:

Beyond production, Zapap has developed a strong presence in the heart of Bologna with two venues among the most appreciated in the city: Zapap Pratello and Zapap Mascarella. These spaces are designed to offer much more than a simple tasting: a convivial environment where the taste of beers is paired with gastronomic proposals prepared with selected ingredients, including snacks and artisanal pizzas.
Also present is Magic Bus, the beer & food truck that takes Zapap beers around events and locations, spreading the culture of craft beer and quality food in a dynamic and lively way.
