In the picturesque setting of the Monte Netto Regional Agricultural Park, south of Brescia, lies the Riversa Brewery, a microbrewery that has skillfully combined respect for European brewing tradition with innovation in the craft beer world. Founded in 2021, Riversa took over from the previous Birrificio Montenetto, relocating to the historic Cascina Torrazza, an early 20th-century farmhouse located in the municipality of Capriano del Colle. The project is led by the Brescia entrepreneur Alberto Romano, with the creative supervision of Francesco Chiappi, graduate in Brewing Science and Technology, who brings with him a wealth of international experience. A distinctive feature of the brewery is the private well from which pure water is drawn for production: a detail that ensures total control over the quality of the ingredients, a fundamental element to produce beers with an authentic and well-defined character.
Riversa’s Beers: A Range Rich in European Traditions
Riversa’s production stands out for the care of its recipes, strongly inspired by the brewing traditions of the Old Continent, with particular attention to ingredient quality and flavor balance. Among their most appreciated beers are:
- Lapy: a German Pilsner with a fresh and slightly bitter taste and an alcohol content of 4.8%. Perfect for those who love drinkability without giving up personality.
- Maddalena: a Strong Scotch Ale (Wee Heavy) with an alcohol content of 6.5%, characterized by a rich, malty, and enveloping flavor, ideal for those looking for complexity and intensity.
