Old 476 Craft Brewery: Brewing Excellence in the Heart of Salento

In the picturesque territory of Galatina, in the province of Lecce, stands the Old 476 Craft Brewery, a true point of reference for craft beer enthusiasts. Founded in 2015 from the passion of Antonio De Giorgi, a former homebrewer with a vocation for producing quality beer, Old 476 takes its name from the historic state road 476 which crossed several towns in Salento and ran alongside the building that today houses the brewery.

Old 476’s identity is based on the production of top-fermented beers, characterized by the use of selected raw materials and a rigorous production process that pays close attention to every technical and aesthetic detail. The result is beers with a strong character and unmistakable personality, which with every sip tell the richness and tradition of the Salento region.

Old 476 Beers: Tradition and Innovation

The range of beers offered by the brewery is wide and well-balanced, designed to satisfy different tastes and seasons. Among the most representative offerings are:

KateNina: an amber Strong Ale with intense caramel notes and a full, robust body. The name is not accidental but a heartfelt tribute to Antonio De Giorgi’s partner and dog, as well as a symbolic reference to the nearby Basilica of Saint Catherine of Alexandria.
Petra Viva: dark and enveloping, this double-malt Strong Ale is perfect for colder months, thanks to its full-bodied structure and warm, embracing taste.
Zeit: light and fresh, this Weiss highlights classic fruity banana nuances, accompanied by spicy tones and a slight herbal note, making it ideal for those who love light but flavorful beers.

The brewery is located at 25 Corso Giuseppina del Ponte, in Galatina, where all the beers produced can be purchased directly. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm, while the brewery is closed on Sundays.
