In the heart of the splendid Tuscan Maremma, in Monterotondo Marittimo, lies Birra de' Neri, a craft brewery that perfectly embodies the blend of agricultural tradition and innovation in the brewing world. Founded in 2012 by Francesco Neri, this project stems from a family history rooted in cereal cultivation for three generations. Located within the San Ottaviano farmhouse in the Massoni area, the brewery represents a natural evolution of the Neri family’s work, who chose to transform their home-grown barley into beer of extraordinary quality.
What makes Birra de' Neri unique is the constant attention to the short supply chain and the genuineness of the raw materials: the barley used comes exclusively from the family’s own fields. This approach guarantees a product that is not only local but also eco-sustainable and full of character. Production is around 20,000 liters per year, with ambitious growth plans to reach 30,000 liters, always keeping craft care and respect for the territory at the center.
