Ramoni Farm Brewery: Passion and Land at 720 Meters Above Sea Level
In the heart of Abruzzo, in Battaglia, a picturesque hamlet of the municipality of Campli (Teramo), stands the Ramoni Farm Brewery, a reality that embodies the perfect blend of agricultural tradition and artisanal innovation. Founded in 2016 by agronomist Luigi Ramoni, alongside his brother Mario, this brewery is distinguished by an approach that prioritizes sustainability and the excellence of ingredients, all strictly grown on the farm itself.
Located at the foothills of Monte Foltrone, in the evocative setting of the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park, the brewery is situated at about 720 meters above sea level, an altitude that imparts unique organoleptic characteristics and superior quality to its products.
The Excellence of the Ingredients and Zero Kilometer Beers
One of the peculiarities of Ramoni Brewery is the exclusive use of raw materials coming from its own territory. The barley is cultivated on the farm’s land, then harvested and malted at a consortium malt house, before returning to the brewery to complete the brewing process. To this zero-kilometer supply chain is added the pure water from the springs of the Monti Gemelli, used in every stage of production, which helps give the beers a fresh and clean character, absolutely distinctive.
The range of beers produced by Ramoni Brewery reflects the desire to explore different brewing traditions, standing out for balance and care.
-
Top-Fermented Beers:
- T.I.P.A. (Triple India Pale Ale), an IPA made exclusively with local ingredients, combining bold bitter notes with a rich and enveloping aromatic profile.
- Origin’Ale, a Belgian Strong Golden Ale with an intense golden color, characterized by a flavor complexity ranging from fruity to spicy hints.
-
Bottom-Fermented Beers:
- La Bionda, a Munich Helles with a bright golden-yellow color, offering a soft and well-balanced taste.
- Dunkel, an amber beer with a malty flavor, appreciated for its roundness and the persistence of toasted notes.
This broad production range stems from Luigi Ramoni’s deep knowledge of agronomy and the desire to enhance the Abruzzo territory in every sip. Each beer is a small story of a landscape, of fresh air, of uncontaminated water, and of sincere love for agricultural and artisanal work.
Ramoni Farm Brewery is an authentic experience that brings the value of the land and meticulous care into the glass, a reality capable of uniting peasant tradition with contemporary brewing creativity. It is a place where every stage of the production process is followed with passion, delivering beers that speak of the territory and respect for nature.
