Bondai Craft Brewery: a new star of craft beer in Carnia

In the heart of the Carnic Alps, in Sutrio, is the Bondai Craft Brewery, a young and passionate reality that is winning over lovers of Italian craft beer. Founded in 2020 by Luca Dalla Torre and Arianna Matiz, Bondai was born from a deep love for brewing art, inspired by a trip to Australia in 2006, when Luca began experimenting with homebrewing.

The brewery’s very name tells a story: “Bondai” is a tribute to Bondi Beach, the famous Sydney beach that marked the beginning of the brewing journey, but in the Friulian dialect it also means “all right, come on,” perfectly capturing the relaxed and welcoming spirit of the company.

A production attentive to quality and tradition

With an annual production of about 25,000 liters, Bondai Brewery offers a selection of beers that stand out for balance and drinkability, ranging from traditional styles to modern reinterpretations. Among the most appreciated offerings are:

Rauchbier: a smoked beer with a strong yet harmonious character
Weisse: a classic wheat beer, light and refreshing
German Pils: an elegant pilsner with a clean taste
Anglophone interpretations of classic recipes, always attentive to quality and innovation

The brewery features a welcoming Taproom, made entirely of wood, inviting a refreshing break after a day of sports or hiking in the surrounding mountains. Here it is possible to taste beers directly on tap or buy cans to take home, in a familiar and convivial environment.
