Caput Ursi Brewery: Craft Excellence in the Heart of Puglia

The Caput Ursi Brewery, located in Cellamare (Via Fiume 8/10), is one of the cornerstones of craft beer production in Puglia. Founded in July 2018 by master brewer Eligio Romanazzi, this brewery was created with the aim of combining Apulian tradition with the quality of local raw materials to craft genuine beers with a unique character.

Eligio, originally from Bari, developed his passion for craft beer through extensive studies and experiences both in Italy and abroad. After obtaining his master brewer qualification at the Academy of Professions in Padua, he worked in various brewing settings before deciding to invest in his home region, pursuing a clear vision: to enhance Southern Italy through beers of the highest quality.

Caput Ursi’s production stands out for the variety and artisanal care given to every single beer. Among the most appreciated labels are:

Grus Golden Ale – a golden beer, fresh and balanced
Riku Dubble – a double malt with a full-bodied taste
Drakkar Stout – intense and enveloping, with roasted notes
