Maneba Craft Brewery: Campanian Brewing Excellence in Striano
The Maneba Craft Brewery, located in the heart of Striano, in the province of Naples, is an authentic benchmark for quality craft beer in Campania. Founded in 2008 by Nello Marciano, this brewery has skillfully combined tradition and innovation, creating brews that tell the cultural and historical richness of the Vesuvius area.
Nelloâs passion for beer stems from extensive experience beginning in 2004, when he had the opportunity to refine his skills working alongside Teo Musso, a legendary figure in the Italian brewing scene, at the renowned Le Baladin brewery in the Langhe region of Piedmont. This training allowed Nello to develop a meticulous approach to craft production, based on research and careful selection of raw materials.
Quality, Territory, and Authentic Flavors
Maneba stands out mainly for its obsessive attention to ingredient quality and for using a 600-liter steam system, ideal for producing top-fermented beers that preserve their organoleptic characteristics intact. The beers are unpasteurized, unfiltered, and free of preservatives, made with carefully selected, locally prioritized raw materials: pure water, barley malt, wheat, hops, spices, and high-quality yeasts.
The production includes several types inspired by Neapolitan tradition and contemporary taste:
- Vesuvia: double malt red ale with notes of coriander, ideal with meat and game dishes.
- LâOro di Napoli: bitter blonde, fresh, perfect to accompany pizza and first courses.
- Clelia: blanche flavored with citrus peels, pepper, and coriander, fresh and refreshing.
- Masaniello: balanced IPA, with caramel malts and resinous hop notes.
- Partenope: brown ale with a sweet and toasted character, easy to drink.
- Spaccanapoli: Belgian tripel, complex and spicy with aromas of white fruit.
- Aâ Livella: American stout with hints of chocolate, licorice, and cappuccino, intense but balanced in taste.
Maneba also stands out for significant collaborations with the University of Salerno and the University of Naples, engaged in an innovative project to enhance the annurca apple, a symbolic fruit of Monte Taburno, through the creation of a local beer that combines native ingredients and artisanal passion.
At the headquarters on Via Palma 181 in Striano, beer lovers can join guided tours and tastings to discover up close the production process and sample the variety of beers, accompanied by the experience and care of Nello Marciano and his team.
Maneba Brewery continues to grow in the Italian brewing scene thanks to attentive and original production, capable of expressing a deep connection with the Campanian territory and an authentic passion for craft beer.
