Mudita Brewery: The Craft Heart of Stagno
Mudita Brewery is a craft brewery founded in 2023 in Stagno, in the province of Livorno, at Via Aiaccia 37/A. Founded by Andrea Iovino and Lorenzo Monacci, Mudita represents the natural evolution of a project that began in 2019 with the beer firm Scaccomalto. Acquiring their own brewing facility allowed the two founders to fully express their vision, built on passion, quality, and research.
The name 'Mudita' comes from an ancient Sanskrit word meaning shared joy, a feeling of selfless happiness dedicated to the successes of others. This philosophy permeates every aspect of the brewery, which aims to create beers not only of excellent quality but also capable of fostering sociability, sharing, and drinkabilityâfundamental elements of its character.
Quality Beers and Respect for the Environment
Mudita Brewery specializes in two well-defined brewing styles: hoppy tradition inspired by the United States and bottom-fermenting beers of German style. Its production offers a wide range of references, all characterized by a perfect balance between taste and originality. Among the most representative beers we can mention:
- Pacific IPA Wabi-Sabi: a fresh and aromatic IPA, perfect for those who love intense hops.
- Neipa Saudade: a New England IPA that wins you over at the first sip with its smoothness and fruitiness.
- American IPA Mokita: with a strong character, a tribute to the most authentic American style.
- Helles Tingo (gluten-free): a light and accessible lager, suitable for everyone, including those who require gluten-free beers.
- Hoppy Lager Parea, Bock Kaamos, and Porter Tretar complete the offer with complex and distinctive options.
The beers are available both in cans and on tap, with an excellent point of sale in the Tap Room of Pisa, located at Via Santa Cecilia 15, a cozy place where you can enjoy the beers directly in good company.
Beyond the quality of the beers, Mudita Brewery also stands out for its concrete commitment to environmental sustainability. The brewery uses reusable steel kegs, thus reducing the consumption of disposable materials. Moreover, the spent grainsâproduction residuesâare not wasted: they are donated to the animal shelter 'Ippoasi' in the San Rossore Park, creating a virtuous cycle that combines brewing and social responsibility.
Mudita Brewery is not just beer, but also culture and community: to celebrate its first year of activity, it organized a special event with live music, street food, and tastings in its garden, an unmissable appointment for all enthusiasts.
A place where the passion for craft beer turns into an experience to live and share.
