Almaremma Agricultural Brewery: Passion and Territory in the Heart of the Tuscan Maremma
Located in Capalbio, amidst the evocative landscape of the Tuscan Maremma, the Almaremma Agricultural Brewery was founded in 2024 by two enthusiasts, Chiara Torracchi and Andrea Lelli. This artisanal reality stands out for its strong connection with the surrounding territory, embodying a production philosophy based on authenticity, sustainability, and local roots.
The name Almaremma is a profound tribute to the land where the brewery was established: “Alma” represents quality and authentic soul, while “Maremma” highlights the unbreakable bond with the region and its cultural identity. Here, every beer tells a story made of traditions, flavors, and unspoiled nature.
An Excellence in Agricultural Production
One aspect that makes Almaremma unique is its integrated agricultural production. The barley used for brewing is cultivated directly on the lands adjacent to the brewery, thus ensuring a short supply chain and full control over the quality of raw materials. This agricultural approach allows the finished product to be valued, offering beers that faithfully reflect the character of the Maremma terroir.
Almaremma offers a range of beers designed to satisfy different palates and moments of consumption, each with its own well-defined personality:
- Alma: a pale beer with a golden color, light and refreshing, perfect for hot summer days thanks to its delicacy and freshness.
- Brigante: an amber beer characterized by a strong taste and persistent foam, inspired by ancient local brewing traditions.
- Ribelle: a slightly amber American Pale Ale that perfectly combines malt and hops, aimed at lovers of more intense and complex flavors.
The brewery goes beyond production and also invites people to discover its creations through direct experiences. In Capalbio, “La Grottaccia” is a sales and tasting point where it is possible to sample Almaremma beers paired with a selection of typical local products, such as cheeses, cured meats, and artisanal jams. This combination offers a complete sensory journey that celebrates local excellences and the spirit of the Maremma.
Almaremma is a tangible example of how craft beer can become an authentic expression of a territory, uniting passion, agricultural tradition, and innovation in every sip.
