Gio'Bi Brewery was established in May 2007 in San Lucido, in the heart of the province of Cosenza, as the first craft brewery in the area. Founded by the couple Gianni and Stefania, this family-run business stands out for its privileged location: situated on a hill, just a few kilometers from Monte Persano and the Crocetta Pass, it boasts a fundamental resource for the quality of its beers – exceptionally pure water sourced from local springs, rich in minerals and with a unique taste.
Attention to ingredient quality is the foundation of Gio'Bi Brewery’s production philosophy. The beers are made with water drawn from the rocky subsoil, selected malt, hops, and natural spices, without any added sugars or chemical additives. The production method is all grain, which preserves all the aromas and characteristics of the raw materials, with both top and bottom fermentation. Some beers also undergo bottle refermentation to achieve an even more complex and rich flavor profile.
Traditional and Local Craft Beers
Gio'Bi Brewery’s recipes are inspired by the great European schools: Belgian, English, and German. However, exclusive creations are not missing, such as fruit beers made with typical Calabrian products, enriching the selection with a local and original touch.
Among the most appreciated specialties stands out the Blonde Lager, a light and refreshing beer produced with barley and wheat malt. It is characterized by a dry and slightly bitter finish, with a low alcohol content and a delicate taste that makes it ideal for those looking for a thirst-quenching and pleasant drink on any occasion.
