Pesce Palla Brewery: The Artisan Excellence of Giuliano Teatino
Located in the heart of Giuliano Teatino, in the province of Chieti, Pesce Palla Brewery is a microbrewery that since 2017 has been passionately and dedicatedly carrying forward the tradition of Italian craft beer. Founded by Luca Sborgia and Maria Grazia Baldassarre, this brewery was born from the desire to enhance the Abruzzo territory through the production of unique beers capable of telling authentic stories and evoking genuine sensations.
The philosophy of Pesce Palla Brewery is encapsulated in the motto 'good beers, good stories,' a clear invitation to discover not only quality flavors but also narratives that perfectly pair with every sip. Each beer is thoughtfully crafted with care, starting from the selection of natural and genuine ingredients, to offer a tasting experience that engages all the senses.
Production Facility and Signature Beer Line-up
The brewery is equipped with a modern steam-powered system featuring a 500-liter brewhouse and three 1000-liter fermenters, allowing for a monthly production of about 4000 liters. This capacity makes it possible to maintain high artisanal quality without ever sacrificing innovation and experimentation.
Among the most representative beers of Pesce Palla Brewery are:
- Parlé, an elegant and light Blonde Ale, with herbal aromas and a medium bitterness; perfect paired with medium-aged cheeses and fried fish dishes.
- O'Frechete, an Anglo-Saxon-inspired India Pale Ale, characterized by intense citrus aromas and a pronounced bitterness that makes it fresh and thirst-quenching.
- Banditen, an amber-colored Irish Red Ale, distinguished by a malty taste balanced by a delicate bitterness, ideal to accompany cold cuts and meat-based dishes.
- VEStout, a Stout with a moderate alcohol content, designed as a travel beer, appreciated for its pairing with flavorful and spicy foods.
- Roots, a Spiced Beer enriched with the addition of gentian root, which gives it a distinctive and aromatic character, perceptible right upon opening the bottle.
Pesce Palla Brewery does not limit itself to production alone but also invests in direct distribution and through selected venues, aiming to spread the culture of craft beer in the best settings of the Abruzzo region and beyond. Each beer is designed to be a sensory journey, capable of connecting people through the pleasure of taste and the discovery of local traditions reinterpreted in a modern key.
