In the picturesque village of Buonabitacolo, nestled in the greenery of the Vallo di Diano, stands the Birrificio del Vallo, also known as Rudeboy. Founded in 2008 by Domenico Lapenta, this microbrewery represents one of the most authentic and innovative realities in the province of Salerno. Domenico, originally from Northern Italy, chose to return to the land of his parents to realize his brewing dream, bringing with him a wealth of experience gained under the guidance of expert artisans in the field.
The name Rudeboy comes from Jamaican slang, referring to a 'rude boy', a lover of ska, rocksteady, and reggae musical cultures. This origin suggests the young and dynamic nature of the brewery, where respect for tradition blends with a constant pursuit of innovation and quality.
