Birrificio Pinerolese: Passion and Tradition from the Province of Turin
Located in the heart of Pinerolo, in the province of Turin, Birrificio Pinerolese is an enterprise that embodies the true essence of Italian craft beer. Founded in 2008 thanks to the experience of Michele Santi, a homebrewer since the 1980s, and the collaboration of brothers Beppe and Mario Allasia, this brewery has skillfully combined tradition and innovation, becoming a point of reference in the Piedmontese brewing scene.
The breweryâs identity is reflected in the careful selection of raw materials: only premium Italian malts and selected hops from various parts of the world create unpasteurized, clear beers rich in intense aromas. The production follows traditional artisanal methods, without resorting to microfiltration, to preserve the naturalness and richness of flavors.
A journey through eight beers of excellence
Birrificio Pineroleseâs production consists of eight varieties, each inspired by international styles and reinterpreted with a unique touch:
- Kefi: a blonde Weizen, perfect for summer days, characterized by a fresh and slightly fruity taste.
- XanthÚ: blonde Dortmunder-style, balanced, with a dry finish that makes it pleasant and refreshing to drink.
- KalÚ: a pale beer inspired by Kölsch, with herbal notes and an equally dry finish, inviting continuous sips.
- Ker: a red Bitter, with biscuit and caramel notes balanced by a delicate bitterness, featuring an intense malt profile.
- Kukaua: an IPA made from premium German malts, with hints of caramel and red fruits that provide marked gustatory complexity.
- Aster: amber APA-style, distinguished by a perfect balance between malt and hops and a very intriguing rustic note.
- Fren: elegant red Vienna, with herbal aromas and a lightness that earned it recognition in the 2025 Guide to Italian Beers.
- Clizia: blonde American IPA, resinous and floral, also awarded, with a strong and enveloping character.
Birrificio Pinerolese is committed to keeping local culture alive through every bottle: each beer tells the uniqueness of the Piedmontese territory and the artisanal passion that has always driven this company.
To enjoy these beers directly from the producer, the breweryâs shop is open Monday to Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., while Saturdays are by appointment only. Additionally, the beers are available in the best wine and beer shops in Pinerolo, where it is possible to fully discover and appreciate their quality.
