Pagus Farm Brewery: Craft Beer from the Heart of Val Camonica
Located in Rogno, in the province of Bergamo, Pagus Farm Brewery is a true point of reference for lovers of Italian craft beer. Founded in 2016 from the shared passion of two friends, Pagus stands out for its philosophy “from field to glass”, which ensures full traceability of ingredients and enhances the products grown directly on the brewery’s own land.
The name Pagus recalls the ancient Latin term for a rural district, emphasizing the strong connection with the land and local community. With over 10 hectares dedicated to the cultivation of cereals such as barley, wheat, spelt, and hops, the brewery produces exclusively zero-kilometer beers, guaranteeing quality, freshness, and authenticity.
Sustainable Production and High-Quality Beer Wines
Pagus’s commitment goes beyond the quality of ingredients and extends to eco-sustainable agricultural practices. The company adopts environmentally friendly methods, using renewable energy and natural fertilizers to preserve the Camonica territory. This environmental care is also reflected in the unique flavor of the beers, which encapsulate the essence of Made in Italy.
Among the most appreciated varieties are:
- Blonde Ale: a pale top-fermented beer, characterized by noble malt aromas and delicate floral notes
- Red American IPA: intensely red, enriched with local hops that give it a fresh and enveloping aroma
- Weissbier: a light and clear wheat beer, ideal for those seeking a refreshing experience
- Belgian Blond Ale: amber, with a full taste and warm tones typical of Belgian fermentations
The brewery also offers guided tours of the hop fields and tastings, a perfect opportunity to discover every stage of production and pair the beers with typical local products. Tours are available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, by reservation.
An innovative initiative by Pagus is “Adopt a Hop”: customers can follow the growth of their own plants and receive a bottle of beer made with the adopted hops, an experience that strengthens the direct bond between producer and enthusiast.
Pagus Farm Brewery thus represents a concrete example of how tradition, passion, and innovation can harmoniously coexist, creating unique beers, authentic expressions of the territory, capable of winning over even the most demanding palates.
