Jonico Brewery: The Excellence of Craft Beer in Basilicata

Jonico Brewery is located in Policoro, in the province of Matera, precisely at Via Monginevro 1. Founded in 2019, this young microbrewery has quickly emerged as an authentic and innovative voice in the Lucanian craft beer scene. In 2024, it reached an important milestone with the start of its own production using dedicated equipment, marking a significant quality leap in its growth.

The project was born from the shared passion of Antonio and Naomi Violante, two young entrepreneurs who decided to invest in the local territory and brewing traditions, carrying forward a vision that combines cultural enhancement and excellence in craftsmanship. Jonico Brewery is not just a production site, but a true point of reference for those who want to discover and deepen their knowledge of the craft beer culture in Basilicata.

Quality Products and an Engaging Experience

Among Jonico Brewery’s main offerings are beers with a strong character and well-balanced flavors, which also convey the identity of the territory. Some of the most representative creations are:

  • Birra del Capitano: a 5.2° Helles, light and versatile, perfect for any occasion.
  • Alba Rossa: a 6.5° Bock, robust and full-bodied, dedicated to those seeking an intense taste.
  • Lager Hops: cold-hopped with citrus notes that provide freshness and character.
  • My Bock: a low fermentation German-style beer, with classic elegance.
