Reit Brewery (Stelvio): Passion and Tradition from Upper Valtellina

The Reit Brewery (Stelvio) was founded in the heart of Bormio, in the province of Sondrio, in 2000, and stands out as a historic and authentic presence in Italian craft beer. Its strength lies in a deep connection with the territory and meticulous attention to quality, reflected in the use of a special ingredient: the purest water coming from the Stelvio National Park. This unique natural element gives Reit's beers a distinctive character, marked by unmistakable purity and freshness.

Over the years, the brewery has developed a diverse catalog embracing classic styles and innovative creations, able to meet the most varied tastes. Among the most appreciated labels are:

• Pilsner: a Bohemian Pilsner with a balanced flavor, characterized by a delicate bitterness and floral notes.
• Weizen: inspired by Bavarian tradition, this Weizen stands out for its smoothness and aromatic richness of banana and clove scents.
• Saraceno: an original experimental beer, made with buckwheat grown in Valtellina, offering a rustic and enveloping flavor profile.
• Lager: elegant and fresh, also a Bohemian Pilsner combining drinkability and complexity.

Renewed Tradition and Connection with the Territory

After a production pause in 2017, Reit Brewery restarted in 2022 with a new project, which also led to a new location at Via Stelvio, 5 in Bormio. This revival was not only a production restart but a real strengthening of the bond with Valtellina and its cultural roots. The new course reestablished Reit as an essential reference point for craft beer enthusiasts in the area, firmly maintaining the original philosophy while always looking towards innovation.

The production philosophy is based on careful selection of raw materials: only fresh ingredients, preferably from short supply chains and local producers, are chosen to create a product that is an authentic expression of the territory. Every stage of the process follows traditional and artisanal methods, respecting timings and techniques that guarantee beers full of character, with intense and well-balanced aromas.

The Reit team works with dedication and passion, aware that every bottle tells a story made of nature, craftsmanship, and respect for the environment. The brewery is therefore a place where beer is not simply produced, but a sensory experience is cultivated, capable of transporting the taster to the evocative setting of the Valtellina mountains.
