Birrificio Mediterraneo: Craft Excellence in the Heart of Sardinia
Birrificio Mediterraneo, located in the Carbonia PIP Zone, has been a flagship of Sardinian beer production since 2016. Founded by Francesco Spanu, an entrepreneur with experience in the wine and nautical sectors, the brewery was born out of a passion for the island’s brewing culture and a desire to fully enhance local raw materials. The goal is clear: to create high-quality craft beers that truly reflect Mediterranean identity.
Production takes place with a modern and efficient system, capable of handling up to 3,000 liters of beer per day, supported by a fermentation and maturation cellar that can accommodate up to 36,000 liters. This advanced setup allows for strict control at every stage of the production process, from the initial wort to bottling. Additionally, there is an in-house laboratory dedicated to quality analysis, essential to ensure that each bottle meets the brewery’s high standards.
