Luppolo di Mare: the artisanal farm brewery of Rosignano Marittimo
Located in the beautiful setting of Rosignano Marittimo, in the province of Livorno, Luppolo di Mare is a farm brewery that stands out for its authentic and territorial approach to artisanal beer production. Founded in 2020, it is the first farm brewery in the province, a virtuous example of local excellence that focuses on a very short supply chain and the enhancement of raw materials grown directly on the land adjacent to the facility, in Località Maccetti.
The strength of Luppolo di Mare lies in its production philosophy, which favors natural and traditional methods to achieve beers with a balanced and elegant character. The cultivation of spring two-row barley, with selected varieties such as Prestige, Scarlet, and Planet, is carried out in collaboration with the Barley and Beer Producers Consortium, thus ensuring excellent aromatic and protein yields. In 2021, an experimental hop field project was also launched, designed to identify the hop varieties best suited to the local climate, with the aim of producing certified organic beers, from field to table.
