Muun Brewery: Craft Passion in the Heart of the Veronese Hills

In the picturesque area of Mezzane di Sotto, nestled in the Veronese hills, the microbrewery Muun was born, a young and innovative project founded in 2022 by three friends: Damiano, Simone, and Giacomo. The name Muun is a free reinterpretation of the English word 'moon,' which refers to the ancient practice of moonshine and their habit of brewing beer during nighttime hours, thus balancing professional commitments with their passion for brewing art.

Thanks to an efficient and well-organized system, Muun produces beer in 100-liter batches with a setup consisting of a brew kettle and three conical fermenters of equal capacity. This technical configuration allows a monthly production of about 300 liters, which is then bottled in 33 and 50 centiliter formats. The microbrewery pursues a careful and attentive production, focusing on controlling every stage to ensure a final product that meets high-quality standards.

Muun Beers: Tradition and Authentic Character

Muun’s beer selection is still limited but definitely of high quality, with two main references that tell the distinctive character of the brewery:

• Biondissima Lager: a pale, bottom-fermented beer with an intense malt profile and delicate hopping, resulting in a pleasant and persistent bitter aftertaste.
• Dunkel: an amber and dark beer with roasted malts that provide notes of coffee and caramel, offering complexity and an aromatic balance in the Bavarian style.

Raw materials are selected with extreme care and imported directly from Germany and the Czech Republic, two lands symbolic of European brewing tradition. This allows Muun to maintain a strong connection to the classic roots of the sector, combining artisanal methods with high standards.
