Founded in 2010 from the passion of the Farchioni family, famous since 1780 for the production of high-quality oil, this brewery represents a natural evolution of the local agro-industrial tradition. Here, the vocation for quality raw materials merges with over two centuries of experience in land management.
The brewery stands out for the philosophy of the short supply chain, a method that ensures full control over every production phase: from the cultivation of barley on its own lands, to the careful selection of raw materials, up to the processing, packaging, and distribution. This process guarantees a genuine and authentic product, capable of telling the richness of the Umbrian territory with every sip.
Production and Authentic Beers of Mastri Birrai Umbri
Mastri Birrai Umbri’s beers are all unfiltered and unpasteurized, produced using the traditional method of top fermentation and bottle refermentation. This process ensures aromatic complexity and freshness, enhancing the natural flavors of the ingredients.
Among their main creations stands the 'Cotta' line, which includes various types:
- Cotta 21: special blonde beer, soft and fresh, perfect for those who love delicate aromas.
- Cotta 37: artisanal red beer, characterized by an intense and enveloping taste.
- Cotta 50: special white beer, light and thirst-quenching, with a unique aromatic bouquet.
- Cotta 68: double malt blonde, with a full body and a strong structure.
- IPA: an explosion of aromas typical of the English style, with aromatic hops and selected malts.
Mastri Birrai Umbri has also created the “Benedictine Method” line, where tradition meets experimentation with the use of prized grapes:
- Evoca: combines the sweetness of light malts with the intensity of dried Sagrantino grapes.
- Vinea: harmoniously combines light malts and Muscat grapes with a fresh and aromatic scent.
The company has recently invested in a state-of-the-art brewery with an integrated malt house, which benefits from skills handed down over time, accompanied by modern technologies.
