The Foràn Brewery, located in Castions di Strada at Via Saba 1, is a brilliant example of how agricultural tradition and innovation can come together to create artisan beers of the highest quality. Founded in 2017 by Flavio and Ivano Mondini, this brewery originated from a family farm that has always cultivated barley with passion and dedication. The choice to use exclusively their own organic barley is a distinctive feature that guarantees a strictly zero-kilometer and sustainably profile product.
In 2019, Foràn Brewery equipped itself with its own 5-hectoliter system, with which it produces a varied range of beers, ranging from light blondes to full-bodied reds, from fruity whites to intense darks, designed to satisfy even the most demanding palates. Each beer is characterized by a unique aromatic profile, the result of meticulous artisanal processing aimed at enhancing the raw material coming directly from their land.

The choice to cultivate organic barley directly reduces the environmental impact, giving the beers an authentic component strongly tied to the Friulian territory. The brewery’s tasting room is a true invitation to immerse oneself in artisanal beer culture. Furnished with furniture made by local artisans, it offers a warm and welcoming environment where beers can be savored with the brewing system in full view, accompanied by typical farm specialties such as preserved vegetables, genuine cold cuts, and bread prepared by the village’s artisan ovens. Foràn Brewery has received important recognition for the quality of its beers. In 2024, the beer Enigma C327 won the gold medal at the Women’s International Trophy, while Santa Bernarda was awarded silver at the Concours International des Produits Biologiques, awards that confirm the consistency in research and production excellence.
The beers can be purchased directly at the brewery or through the online store with shipping throughout Italy. The brewery is open to the public at the following times: Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
