Ca' Verzini: the farmhouse brewery in the heart of the Val d'Illasi
Located among the gentle hills of the Val d'Illasi, just a few kilometers from Verona, Ca' Verzini is a farmhouse brewery that embodies tradition and innovation. The facility is situated in a historic Venetian rural courtyard, with origins dating back to the 12th century, skillfully restored to preserve its ancient charm, yet enriched with modern production techniques.
The Ca' Verzini project was born from the shared passion of two brothers, Filippo and Alessio, who transformed a decade of home experimentation into a professional and well-established business. Their mission is to offer high-quality craft beers, born from careful selection and direct cultivation of raw materials, managing every step of the production process with great dedication.
Craft beers and home-grown raw materials
One of the brewery's distinctive features is precisely the internal cultivation of essential ingredients:
- Barley is grown in the flattest fields of the estate, ensuring always fresh and controlled raw materials.
- Hops, a fundamental ingredient for beer, grow on the hilly heights close to the Little Dolomites, where the climate favors aroma and quality.
This choice allows Ca' Verzini to have complete control from the field to the bottle, ensuring authenticity and uniqueness for every beer produced.
Among the brewery's most appreciated offerings are:
- Golden Ale: an unfiltered pale beer, with a malty taste featuring slight spicy notes and medium hoppiness. Perfect for aperitifs or pairings with cold cuts and cheeses.
- Dark Strong Ale: a double malt beer with an alcohol content of 10.5% vol., with toasted, caramelized, and spicy aromas and notes of fruit preserved in spirit, for an intense and complex tasting experience.
- Blanche: a top-fermented, pale and opalescent beer, with a spicy coriander aroma and vegetal notes, fresh and slightly tart, ideal for those who enjoy lighter and refreshing flavors.
The brewery offers visitors a complete experience: it is possible to visit the entire production cycle, admire the small demonstration hop garden, and participate in guided tastings that delve into the philosophy and artisanal care of the product. Here you don’t just taste the beer, but you perceive all the passion and commitment of its creators in carrying forward a tradition that respects nature and the history of the Verona area.
