In the enchanting territory of the Langhe, precisely in Santo Stefano Belbo, lies 2 Sisters Brewery, founded in 2011 thanks to the initiative of Federica and Elisa Toso. The project took shape from the restoration of an ancient stone farmhouse dating back to the first half of the 19th century, located on the left bank of the Belbo stream. The facility, set up within the farmhouse, includes a modern 20-hectoliter brewhouse with three mash tuns and 40-hectoliter fermenters, supported by a state-of-the-art bottling line. A distinctive feature of the brewery is its commitment to a short supply chain: two-row barley is cultivated on the adjacent land, an essential ingredient for malting and consequently for beer production. 2 Sisters Brewery also stands out for its deep respect for the environment. A 20 KWP photovoltaic system installed on the company roof covers the energy needs of the production cycle. For heating, a biomass boiler is used, fueled by wood from the surrounding forests and pruning from the owned vineyards. In the disposal process, the presence of an active sludge purification plant ensures fully eco-friendly wastewater treatment.
